I want: a "Feeling Lucky" bag

Dear Shayne,

I haven't had much time for crafting lately, but there's always time for a bit of window shopping, right? I recently stumbled upon this super cute bag called "Feeling Lucky" made by Shinzi Katoh:

The Shinzi Katoh site has a shop, but prices are all listed in Yen. For good ol' USD pricing, I found it for sale here at ModCloth (lots of cute things to see at that site, by the way).

I haven't been feeling too terribly lucky lately -- perhaps this bag would change that for me?

While our blog is quiet...

Dear Shayne,

Since our blog has been so quiet lately, I thought you might enjoy reading another craft blog that I recently stumbled upon: CraftFail.

As the name suggests, this is a blog for crafters to log their failed craft attempts and I must admit that I have laughed my butt off at more than one of these posts -- mostly because I can totally relate.

Go check it out and see if you can't identify with one of two of these "craft fails" yourself.

Not so crafty these days

Dear Shayne,

As I have posted previously, our darling cat Kaesea has been very sick for the last few weeks. My first post was dire and my second optimistic and right now we basically sit between those two emotions, hoping that he will continue to get better.

As a result of all of this full-time cat care, I have very little time for crafting these days. The only thing I've made lately is a chart to record Kaesea's stats:
Not so crafty lately...

You can click that for a bigger picture, to see the categories more clearly -- basically, what comes out of the cat and what goes into the cat and when.

I mark out the things that I need to do that day and then I put checkmarks when things happen:
Not so crafty lately...

I'm so busy I haven't even had time to decorate that little clipboard -- it really needs something, doesn't it? At least I've got the pink and purple Sharpies going on.

Meanwhile, I have removed my last two posts about Kaesea from this blog because I have been keeping a new blog to keep people updated on his current status: The Kaesea Report. If you want to check up on Kaesea (including a daily photo of our handsome boy), please click on over there.

Thank you so much to everyone who has commented here -- your good thoughts are truly appreciated and I just know that that positive energy helped Kaesea pull through the worst of this terrible situation. He's definitely doing better now, but he's still got a long way to go.

love,
kelly
